About this program
The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Cancer Control Education Program (CCEP) offers two to three years of postdoctoral fellowship support for multidisciplinary training and mentored research in cancer prevention and control. Fellows receive a stipend, health insurance, and allowances for tuition, travel, and research expenses. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in behavioral science, epidemiology, nutrition, public health, or a related field, and should demonstrate strong achievement and publications in cancer prevention and control. Applications require a cover letter, current CV, two-page research-interest statement, and three faculty recommendations, including one from a CCEP mentor; the program is currently closed to applications for 2026–2027.
