Certified Local Government Grants

About this program

The Texas Historical Commission offers Certified Local Government (CLG) grants to support city and county governments in preserving historic resources. The funding aims to enhance local preservation programs, with a focus on architectural, historical, and archaeological surveys, as well as National Register nominations and local planning initiatives. Certified Local Governments, individually recognized by the National Park Service, are eligible to apply, and they can collaborate with other CLGs or sponsor third-party organizations for larger projects.
