CFAS–BFS Nursing Research Exchange Award

About this program

Canadian Fertility & Andrology Society (CFAS) and the British Fertility Society (BFS), with Canadian support from EMD Serono, fund the CFAS–BFS Nursing Research Exchange Award to support a bilateral nursing research exchange that advances nursing‑led ART research, harmonizes best practices and enables dissemination at each society’s annual conference; each society covers its outbound participant’s travel, accommodation (up to four nights) and a modest per diem, while the host waives registration. Recipients receive an oral presentation slot at the host conference, access to conference events, and logistical support from the hosting society. Eligible applicants are registered nurses (RN/NP/RPN/LPN or equivalent) with a minimum of three years’ ART practice, active CFAS or BFS membership (nominated by a member or self‑nominated with an additional nominator), and demonstrated research engagement (e.g., first‑author QI project, abstract or pilot); prior exchange recipients or those who received a travel grant in the last three years are ineligible. Awardees must present at the host conference, acknowledge the CFAS–BFS Exchange, provide a brief post‑conference summary, use the award within 12 months, follow home society booking rules and comply with applicable Canadian and UK ethics/privacy requirements (only de‑identified data may be shared cross‑border unless a Data Transfer Agreement is in place).
