Charles Hamm Fellowship — one-week research residency at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Library & Archives

The Society for American Music, co‑sponsored by the Center for Popular Music Studies at Case Western Reserve University, offers the Charles Hamm Fellowship to support a one‑week research residency at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Library & Archives (Cuyahoga Community College, Cleveland, OH). The competitively awarded fellowship provides up to $2,000 to defray residency expenses such as travel, lodging, and duplication and is offered annually. Applicants must be members in good standing of the Society for American Music; scholars at any career stage may apply but previous Hamm Fellowship recipients are ineligible. Application materials include an application form, one‑page letter of application, current CV, a project narrative (up to five double‑spaced pages) describing the project’s relation to the Library & Archives holdings, and a one‑page budget; applicants are advised to contact the Library & Archives curator to confirm holdings, and the recipient must submit a final report and one‑page budget to the Society within one year.
