Charles W. Tobias Early-Career Award

The Electrochemical Society offers the Charles W. Tobias Early-Career Award to recognize outstanding theoretical or experimental contributions to electrochemistry, electrochemical engineering, or solid-state science and technology. The award includes $5,000, a framed scroll, ECS Life Membership, complimentary meeting registration, and up to $1,000 in travel assistance, and is presented at the fall meeting in even-numbered years. Nominees must be ECS members, demonstrate exceptional work and leadership potential, and have begun their professional careers no more than 12 years before April 1 of the award year, with case-by-case extensions for qualifying circumstances. Nominations, submitted from October 31 of odd-numbered years through January 31 of even-numbered years, require an electronic form and two to five one-page letters of support.
