About this program
The California State Treasurer’s Office offers the federally funded Charter Access to Bank Loan Enhancement (Charter ABLE) Program to help California charter schools reduce the cost of financing facility acquisition, renovation, and construction. The program provides credit enhancement for permanent charter school facilities, with up to $20 million available and no matching funds required. Eligible applicants include nonprofit and public agency charter schools operating in California, subject to program regulations. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and financing terms may not exceed the useful life of the financed asset.
