About this program
The California State Treasurer’s Office administers the federally funded Charter FinE Program to help California charter schools reduce the cost of acquiring, renovating, or constructing permanent facilities. Supported by a $10 million federal credit-enhancement grant, the program provides financing assistance with no matching funds required. Eligible applicants include nonprofit and public agency charter schools operating in California, subject to program regulations. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and reserved funds generally must be used within six months of approval.
