Charter School Facility Grant Program – (SB740)

About this program

The California State Treasurer’s Office, through the California School Finance Authority, offers annual grants to help charter schools offset ongoing facility costs. Funding is targeted to charter schools serving a high percentage of students eligible for free or reduced-price meals or located in qualifying public elementary school boundaries, with annual appropriations determined through the state budget. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations and public agencies meeting the requirements in Program Regulations §10170.3; no matching funds are required. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, subject to annual funding availability, and awards are distributed in three fiscal-year apportionments.
