About this program

The California Health Facilities Financing Authority (CHFFA), under the State Treasurer’s Office, offers state bond funding to support capital improvement projects that improve care for California’s critically ill children. Approximately $9.68 million remains available, with awards provided through reimbursement and no matching funds required. Eligible applicants are University of California Children’s Hospitals designated under the Children’s Hospital Bond Act of 2008. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and are generally due by the first business day of each month, except November.
