About this program

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine sponsors the Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program, a full‑time, 12‑week hands‑on training based in Washington, DC that immerses early‑career participants in science and technology policy through mentorship, National Academies assignments, and attendance at policy meetings. Fellows are placed in an Academies unit where they work with a mentor, engage in policy‑related activities, and build professional networks to prepare for careers advising government and other organizations. Applicants must be early‑career individuals from anywhere in the world with a demonstrated interest in science and technology policy and be able to commit full time to the in‑person 12‑week program in Washington, DC.
