C.J. Alexopoulos Prize

About this program

The Mycological Society of America awards the C.J. Alexopoulos Prize annually to an outstanding early-career mycologist, recognizing the quality, originality, and volume of their published research. The prize includes a plaque and monetary award of at least $1,000, with presentation at the MSA annual meeting. Nominees or applicants must be current MSA members, have received their last degree within the preceding 10 years (with extensions for family or medical leave), and may be self-nominated; nominations are due February 1 by midnight Pacific Time. Materials must include a nomination or application letter, curriculum vitae with publications, five significant paper reprints, and up to five additional support letters.
