Clark Hubbs' Student Travel Awards (ASIH)

About this program

The American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists (ASIH) offers Clark Hubbs' Student Travel Awards to help defray travel expenses for students attending the annual Joint Meeting of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists; awards are $595 each or $800 for intercontinental travelers. Selection is by random draw; applicants must be current students who are ASIH members in good standing, presenting research (oral or poster) at the 2025 JMIH, have not previously received an ASIH travel award, and may apply in only one category (Ichthyology or Herpetology). Intercontinental awards require travel from a location that necessitates an intercontinental flight (North American students may qualify if traveling directly from a field site on another continent); recipients are required to work four one-hour shifts at the ASIH book raffle and may collect their award check from the book raffle coordinator after completing those shifts.
