Clean Vessel Act Grant

About this program

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department administers Clean Vessel Act grants, funded through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, to support construction, renovation, operation, and maintenance of recreational-boater pumpout stations, pumpout boats, and dump stations. Approved projects may receive up to 75% of eligible costs, with the recipient providing the balance. Eligible applicants include public or private marinas, boatyards, shipyards, and state, county, or municipal organizations that make facilities available to all boaters. Applicants must contact the department before applying; applications are accepted year-round but are reviewed for the annual August 15 deadline.
