Cleanup, Remediation, and Watershed Enhancement Funding Opportunity

About this program

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife offers statewide grants through the Environmental Restoration and Protection Account for planning, implementation, cleanup, remediation, and watershed enhancement projects addressing impacts from cannabis cultivation. Eligible activities include road and culvert improvements, erosion prevention, removal of illicit cultivation infrastructure and waste, water conservation, and wildlife habitat enhancement; projects benefiting threatened or endangered species may receive higher scores. Eligible applicants are California public agencies, qualified 501(c) nonprofit organizations, and California Native American Tribes. Applications are accepted on an ongoing, rolling basis for projects lasting up to three years, with no required match and reimbursement-based funding.
