About this program
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is offering up to $20 million in grants through the Cannabis Restoration Grant Program (CRGP) to support projects aimed at enhancing watersheds and communities impacted by cannabis cultivation. Funding is available for planning, cleanup, remediation, and implementation projects, including road decommissioning, erosion prevention, and biodiversity enhancement. Eligible applicants include nonprofit public agencies, tribal governments, and qualified nonprofit organizations operating within California. Projects benefiting threatened and endangered species in California will receive higher priority during the evaluation process.
