Climate Adaptation and Resiliency

About this program

The California Wildlife Conservation Board offers Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Program grants for statewide conservation projects that strengthen ecosystem and wildlife resilience to projected climate impacts. Projects must align with California’s climate adaptation and statewide resource plans, support carbon sequestration, and provide environmental, social, or economic co-benefits; up to $25 million in Greenhouse Gas Reduction Funds is available. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments, with ongoing applications and grant terms of two to four years. Matching funds are not required, though secured cost share may improve an application’s evaluation.
