UCAR’s Cooperative Programs for the Advancement of Earth System Science (CPAESS) invites applications for its 2026 Climate and Global Change Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, supporting innovative research across physical, social, and integrated climate and Earth system sciences. Fellows are hosted by mentors at U.S. universities, research institutions, or federal agencies and receive a salary, benefits, relocation support, and research-related travel and publication allowances. Applicants must hold a PhD awarded within the past three years, with preference given to candidates seeking their first postdoctoral position, and must identify a potential U.S. host and change institutions unless compelling circumstances apply. Applications open July 21, 2026, and are due by October 16, 2026; advance contact with a potential host is required.
