The **Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy** offers the **Coachella Valley Open Space Acquisition Program** to fund the acquisition of open space lands in the Coachella Valley and surrounding mountains, aiming to protect wildlife, cultural resources, and enhance recreational and educational use. Grants may also support capital improvements on existing conservation lands, with priority given to projects aligning with the Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and tribal governments, with projects located within or adjacent to the plan’s territory. Matching funds are preferred but not required, and the total available funding is $5,500,000, sourced from California Propositions 12, 40, and 84.
