Coachella Valley Proposition 68 Parks, Conservation Land Access and Climate Change Response Grant Program

About this program

The Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy offers Proposition 68 grants to expand recreational and educational access to conservation lands, improve park facilities, and reduce environmental impacts contributing to climate change in its territorial jurisdiction. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through a required preapplication and consultation process, with approximately $5.7 million available as funding permits. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments; projects serving economically disadvantaged or underserved communities receive priority. Matching funds are not required, but contributions—often at least 20%—are encouraged and earn additional points.
