Collingwood Prize

About this program

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), through its Committee on Younger Members, awards the Collingwood Prize annually for an outstanding engineering paper that advances engineering knowledge or documents engineering work and demonstrates relevance to professional practice. Eligible papers must have appeared online in an ASCE journal or qualifying committee report between July and June preceding the award year. Nominees must be ASCE members in good standing who were 35 or younger when the paper was submitted in final form; active Committee on Younger Members members are ineligible. Nominations are due February 1 and require a signed cover letter, paper copy, contributing-author list, and ASCE Section/Branch president endorsement.
