Computing in Civil Engineering Award

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), through its Computing Division and funded by computer-oriented industries, administers the annual Computing in Civil Engineering Award to recognize an ASCE member for outstanding contributions to the application of computers in civil engineering; recipients receive a plaque and an honorarium (amount set annually), with lead recipients of group awards receiving the plaque and cash while other contributors receive certificates. Eligible nominees must be ASCE members in good standing; nominations require a nominator-signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two to three letters of recommendation. The Computing Division Executive Committee recommends recipients subject to ASCE Board approval, may choose not to make an award in a given year, and the page lists a nomination deadline of "November 1" (no year specified).
