Corrosion Division Rusty Award for Mid-Career Excellence

The Electrochemical Society’s Corrosion Division invites nominations for the Rusty Award for Mid‑Career Excellence, established in 2021 to recognize outstanding mid‑career achievements in corrosion science and technology; the award is presented at the ECS fall meeting and includes a framed certificate, USD $1,000, complimentary meeting registration, and up to USD $1,000 toward travel. Nominations are accepted annually (Oct 15–Jan 15) and must include a completed electronic nomination form, nomination letter, CV/resume with employment, education and publication details, list of ECS involvement, and other supporting materials; the recipient is expected to deliver a lecture at the designated Corrosion Division symposium. Eligible nominees must have contributed to corrosion science and technology, maintained Corrosion Division membership for at least five consecutive years prior to nomination, published in an ECS journal, and either hold a rank equivalent to associate professor/scientist/engineer or have received their terminal degree 11–25 years before the nomination deadline; Rusty Award Committee members may not submit nominations or letters of support during their terms.
