Couchman Travel Award (BSMB bursary for meeting attendance)

The Couchman Travel Award, funded by Prof John Couchman and administered by the British Society for Matrix Biology (BSMB), provides travel bursaries for attendance at UK and European matrix-biology meetings via two strands: UK awards (~10/year, typically £150) and European awards (2/year, up to £300). Applicants must be BSMB members in good standing and affiliated to a recognised academic institution; UK applicants must have joined BSMB at least three months before the meeting, while European applicants must have attended one or more BSMB meetings in person. Applications require submission of an abstract (poster or platform) including affiliation and co-authors; awards are paid after the meeting (proof of attendance required; receipts required for European awards). Preference is given to those without a tenured position and to first-time recipients, and award decisions are at the discretion of the Chair of the BSMB bursary committee; recipients should acknowledge BSMB on their poster or presentation.
