About this program

CPCU Society’s Loman Financial Aid Program offers limited financial assistance to undergraduate students to help cover internship-related expenses (e.g., professional clothing, travel, housing) for those undertaking paid risk management/insurance internships. Applicants must be full-time sophomores, juniors, or seniors who have accepted a paid risk management/insurance internship averaging ~30 hours/week for at least eight weeks in Spring/Summer 2026, be making satisfactory academic progress, and may receive the award only once. Required materials include a complete transcript, internship job description and offer letter, a letter of recommendation, and a personal statement addressing career goals, internship relevance, and financial need; applications are scored on a points-based matrix and awards are made on a rolling two-week review basis until funds are exhausted, with recipients required to confirm internship acceptance within two weeks.
