Crop Science Extension Education Award

About this program

The Crop Science Society of America (CSSA) presents the Crop Science Extension Education Award to recognize excellence and innovation in extension teaching in crop science; the award includes a certificate, a complimentary award-ceremony ticket, and $2,000. Nominations are accepted January through March 25 and must be submitted by current CSSA members; nominees should be living extension or industrial crop scientists (or others whose primary contributions are in education outside formal settings) and need not be CSSA members. Nominators, nominees, and references may not be members of the CSSA Awards Committee or Board of Directors, former recipients are ineligible, and required nomination materials—including degrees, positions, and documented evidence of communication, influence, and impact with specified character limits—are specified on the CSSA awards platform.
