Crop Science Research Award

About this program

The Crop Science Society of America (CSSA) offers the Crop Science Research Award to recognize outstanding basic and applied research contributions in crop science, judged on significance, originality, data quality, and overall impact; the award includes a certificate, a complimentary ticket to the award ceremony, and $2,000. Nominations are accepted annually from January through March 25 and must be submitted via the CSSA Awards Hub. Nominators and nominees must be current CSSA members and nominees must be living at the time of nomination; CSSA Awards Committee members, CSSA Board members, and former recipients are ineligible. Teams may be nominated if at least one member is a CSSA member contributing 50% or more and only team-wide publications/honors are listed; nominations require detailed materials (position titles, degrees, professional positions, honors, research and professional contributions, and an evaluation summary) with specified character limits.
