CSA Dependent Care Grant

About this program

The Costume Society of America (CSA) offers the CSA Dependent Care Grant—a $250 reimbursement to CSA members attending the national Annual Meeting and Symposium to offset dependent-care expenses incurred because of symposium attendance (e.g., childcare, extra daycare at home, or caregiving for elderly/disabled dependents, including bringing a professional caretaker). Priority is given to presenters and early‑career applicants. Eligible applicants must be CSA members attending the symposium and submit a single PDF (<100 MB) via the CSA online form with contact information, the accepted abstract/presentation title, and a one‑page statement describing participation and the requested reimbursement budget; allowable expenses include symposium daycare, extra at‑home daycare costs caused by attendance, and caretaker airfare/hotel and fees, while registration/travel already incurred, travel for dependents/family, and unrelated care costs are ineligible. Applications are due by 28 February 2026 with notifications by 13 March 2026; recipients must upload receipts after the symposium for reimbursement—no funds are provided on‑site or before the event.
