CSMB Call for Nominations – Scholarly Awards (Regular call: Oct 15 – Jan 15)

The Canadian Society for Molecular Biosciences (CSMB) runs an annual regular call (typically Oct 15–Jan 15) for nominations to multiple scholarly awards—including the CSP Senior Investigator Award, Arthur Wynne Gold Medal, Jeanne Manery Fisher Memorial Lecture, New Investigator Award, and Frances Sharom Science Communication Award—to recognize research excellence, outreach and EDI-related contributions; awardees are normally invited to present at the CSMB Annual Conference and to submit a manuscript or review to a Canadian Science Publishing journal. Nominations may be submitted by CSMB members and other interested parties and should be addressed to Dr. Tarik Moroy; awardees need not be CSMB members. Members of the CSMB Board and committees (including at-large members) are ineligible while holding office, and some awards are offered only in alternate years. Applications are reviewed by the CSMB Board using updated evaluation procedures to account for outreach, community support and EDI (and to mitigate bias); travel, accommodation and registration for awardees will be reimbursed per Tri‑Agency policies, and applicants should consult each award’s page for specific eligibility, criteria and deadlines.
