Data Science and Modeling for Green Chemistry Award

The ACS Green Chemistry Institute Pharmaceutical Roundtable (ACSGCIPR) offers the Data Science and Modeling for Green Chemistry award to recognize computational tools that enable more sustainable pharmaceutical processes and deliver environmental, safety, or efficiency improvements. The recipient receives public recognition at the Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference, a plaque and certificates, and up to $2,500 in reimbursable conference travel expenses. Academic and industrial research groups worldwide are eligible, and ACS or ACSGCIPR membership is not required; eligible technologies include algorithms or software using machine learning, data science, or computational modeling. Nominations for the 2026 award are due December 8 and must include a 300-word abstract, a detailed description of no more than three pages, references, and evidence of innovation, implementation, transferability, and measurable green chemistry benefits.
