David P. Robbins Prize (MAA)

About this program

The Mathematical Association of America awards the David P. Robbins Prize ($5,000) every three years at an MAA national meeting to the author(s) of a paper reporting novel research in algebra, combinatorics, or discrete mathematics. Papers are judged on quality of research, clarity of exposition, and accessibility to undergraduates, and in the case of joint authorship the prize is divided equally. Eligible papers must be written in English and have been published within six years of the prize presentation; the recipient need not be an MAA member, and MAA members may recommend works for consideration.
