About this program
The Materials Research Society (MRS) awards the David Turnbull Lectureship to recognize a scientist’s career contributions to fundamental understanding of materials science through experimental and/or theoretical research, with writing and lecturing also considered. The Turnbull Lecturer delivers a technical lecture at the MRS Fall Meeting and contributes an article to MRS Bulletin; the honor includes a $5,000 honorarium, a citation plaque, meeting registration, and reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses.
