Davis Center Book Prize in Political and Social Studies

Sponsored by Harvard University’s Kathryn W. and Shelby Cullom Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies and administered by ASEEES, the Davis Center Book Prize recognizes an outstanding monograph on Russia, Eurasia, or Eastern Europe in anthropology, political science, sociology, geography, or related social sciences. The annual prize includes a cash award and is presented at the ASEEES Annual Convention.

Eligible books must be original English-language monographs published in the previous calendar year, with no more than two authors; textbooks, edited collections, translations, reference works, and self-published books are excluded. Authors or publishers must submit the nomination form by April 15 and ensure that copies reach all committee members by May 15; each book may be nominated for no more than two ASEEES prizes.
