Dean Amadon Research Grant

About this program

Raptor Research Foundation offers the Dean Amadon Research Grant to support studies on the distribution and systematics (taxonomy) of raptors, including molecular work, differential migration, and research addressing where or why raptors occur. The award provides up to $4,500 and waived page charges for publication in the Journal of Raptor Research if the grantee is the primary author; one grant is awarded annually. Eligible applicants are persons conducting research on raptor distribution or systematics; applications require a 1‑page cover letter, CV, a proposal of no more than five pages (background/justification, objectives, methods, budget, other funding, expected results, literature cited), and a photograph.
