Dean Amadon Research Grant

About this program

The Raptor Research Foundation offers the Dean Amadon Research Grant to support research on raptor distribution, systematics, or taxonomy, including molecular studies and population movements. One grant of up to $5,000 is awarded annually, along with waived page charges for publication in the Journal of Raptor Research; the recipient must be the primary author of the resulting paper. Applicants must submit a one-page cover letter, CV, photograph, and a proposal of no more than five pages detailing the study rationale, objectives, methods, budget, other funding, expected results, and literature cited. Applications are submitted online by June 30, with the application period opening in January.
