Dee Saunders Dundee Memorial Research Grant — Undergraduate Summer Research

About this program

The American Malacological Society funds the Dee Saunders Dundee Memorial Research Grant, a paid summer award (maximum $5,500) supporting eight-week undergraduate independent research in malacology, including a $4,000 stipend, research and meeting expenses, possible publication support, and a two‑year AMS student membership. Applicants must develop the project and budget with a mentor who submits a letter of support, and the student is expected to conduct the research and be first author on resulting presentations/publications. Eligible applicants are undergraduates enrolled at U.S.-accredited institutions who are not graduating during the application year, are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients who self-identify as members of groups historically discriminated against or underrepresented in malacology, and are current AMS members.
