About this program
The Society for Applied Anthropology (SfAA) offers two $750 Del Jones Memorial Travel Awards to support student travel to its Annual Meeting and encourage participation by individuals committed to supporting oppressed or disadvantaged communities. Applicants must have been enrolled as students during part of the current year and have an accepted paper abstract for the meeting; poster presentations are not eligible. Applications require a short essay of up to 500 words describing how meeting participation will advance the applicant’s professional goals and, optionally, their commitment to disadvantaged communities; the deadline is December 20.
