About this program
The Delbert Ray Fulkerson Prize, jointly administered by the American Mathematical Society (AMS) and the Mathematical Optimization Society (MOS), recognizes exceptional research papers in discrete mathematics, combinatorics, and optimization. It is awarded periodically to one or more authors for significant theoretical contributions—recent recipients were honored for advances in algorithms for volume computation, hypergraph methods, and constructions of equiangular lines. Eligible candidates are authors of published research papers nominated by members of the mathematical community, and winners are selected by an AMS–MOS prize committee and announced in AMS news releases.
