Dependent Care Travel Grant Program

About this program

American Nurses Association (ANA) offers Dependent Care Travel Grants of up to $500 to assist Annual Meeting Travel Award recipients with dependent-care costs tied to meeting attendance, such as on-site or at-home child/adult care, personal care assistants for presenting authors, and airfare/hotel for a caregiver or dependent to accompany the attendee. Applicants must be ANA Annual Meeting Travel Award recipients and the primary caregiver for eligible dependents (children under 16 or a disabled child, parent, spouse, partner, or family member); only one caregiver may apply per recipient. Awards are reimbursed after the Annual Meeting; recipients must submit the ANA reimbursement form with original receipts and supporting documentation—no funds are distributed prior to or on-site. Ineligible costs include meals, attraction tickets, and expenses related to the attendee’s meeting participation (including registration); any expenses exceeding $500 are the recipient’s responsibility.
