The Society for Biological Engineering (SBE) invites nominations for the annual D.I.C. Wang Award for Excellence in Biochemical Engineering, honoring individuals in industry or academia for outstanding contributions to biochemical engineering research, education, technology development, and demonstrated societal or economic impact. The endowed award is presented alternately at the AIChE Annual Meeting (odd years) and the ACS BIOT/ACS Spring Meeting (even years); the specific monetary amount is not specified. Any person may nominate by emailing sbeawards@aiche.org with a packet that may include a nomination form, the nominee’s CV/resume, a letter from the nomination committee, and supporting letters. Nominees must be individual practitioners in industry or academia who have not received an SBE award in the four years preceding the award year; nominations received in even years are held for the next selection cycle, and the deadline for the current cycle is 31 March 2027.
