The Electrochemical Society’s Dielectric Science & Technology Division awards the annual Thomas D. Callinan Award to recognize midcareer scientists for outstanding contributions in dielectric science and technology—honoring excellence in investigations, papers, and patents—with a scroll, USD $2,000, and an obligation to present a lecture at the ECS spring meeting. Nominees should be ECS members (preference given to DS&T division members) and authors of papers or patents reporting new advances in dielectrics, with the supporting work preferably appearing in the open literature within five years before June 1 of the award year. Nominations require a completed electronic nomination form and supporting materials such as a nomination letter, up to five letters of support, CV, publications list, and copies of the paper(s) or patent(s) forming the basis of the nomination; unsuccessful nominations may be reconsidered for one additional year.
