The Electrochemical Society (ECS) presents the Dielectric Science & Technology Division Thomas D. Callinan Award annually at its spring meeting to recognize outstanding dielectric research, high‑quality papers and patents, and contributions to dielectric science and technology; the award includes a scroll, USD $2,000, and an invited lecture by the recipient. Nominees are typically authors of papers or patents reporting new advances in dielectrics (work usually published within five years before June 1), with preference for ECS and DS&T Division members. Nominations (accepted March 15–June 15 each year) require a completed electronic nomination form and supporting materials such as a nomination letter, up to five letters of support, CV, publications list, copies of relevant papers/proceedings and patents, the paper/patent forming the basis of the nomination, and statements of research interests/accomplishments; unsuccessful nominations may be reconsidered the following year and DS&T Award Committee members may not submit or support nominations while serving.
