About this program
The American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) offers the Distinguished Achievement Award for Ornamental Plant Breeding to recognize outstanding contributions to ornamental plant breeding, including cultivar development, methodological innovation, and influential scholarship. Nominations are due July 29. Nominees must have been ASHS members for at least three years, cannot be previous recipients, and must be nominated by an ASHS member; membership in the Ornamental Plant Breeding Professional Interest Group is not required. Submissions must include biographical information, a curriculum vitae, a maximum five-page accomplishments statement, and two reference letters.
