Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty

About this program

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) offers the Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty, established in 1981 to recognize superior teaching, excellence in research, significant contributions to the petroleum engineering profession, and outstanding effectiveness in advising students. Eligible nominees must be professional SPE members in good standing; self-nominations, past recipients, SPE Honorary Members, deceased members (except in narrowly defined posthumous cases), current International Board officers/members and Award Selection Committee members (and those within specified post-service periods) are ineligible. Nomination deadlines are 15 February for international awards and 1 March for regional awards; questions may be directed to awards@spe.org.
