Distinguished Achievement Award in Extension

About this program

Offered annually by the Entomological Society of America, the Distinguished Achievement Award in Extension recognizes one individual for outstanding extension work in entomology and includes $500 and an inscribed plaque presented at the ESA Annual Meeting. Nominations must be submitted by an ESA Branch (one nomination per Branch per year); nominees must be current ESA members who demonstrate program creativity, impact, achievement, and delivery, and all nominators and nominees must sign ESA’s professional conduct disclosure. Packages are submitted electronically via the ESA awards site and must include a CV with Background, Extension/Outreach, and Service sections plus up to two letters of endorsement, adhere to file and page limits (PDF/TIF/JPG, maximum 20 pages total, minimum 10‑point font) and be uploaded as individual files. A panel judges on Professional Background (60 points) and Program Management (40 points); unsuccessful candidates may be renominated up to two times within two years.
