Distinguished Achievement Award in the Promotion of Diversity and Inclusion in the Field of Entomology

The Entomological Society of America offers the Distinguished Achievement Award in the Promotion of Diversity and Inclusion to honor an ESA member or member team that creates and promotes a diverse and welcoming environment for entomologists; the recipient receives complimentary ESA Annual Meeting registration, a $500 cash prize, and an award plaque. Nominations are due June 1, 2026, may be submitted by anyone (maximum two self-nominations per year), and must include a CV, up to two letters of recommendation, and a brief (≤2 pages double-spaced) summary describing the work, outcomes, and significance; all nominators and nominees must sign a professional conduct disclosure. Nominees must be practicing entomologists with at least one current ESA member on the team and must demonstrate contributions that engage participation across diverse identities and backgrounds; nomination packages must be uploaded individually as PDF, TIF, or JPG files and may not exceed 20 pages total via the ESA awards nomination website.
