Distinguished CSA Service Award

About this program

The Canadian Society of Agronomy (CSA) presents the Distinguished Service Award to recognize members who have demonstrated exceptional service and leadership to the society; recipients are honored at the CSA AGM with an inscribed plaque. Nominees must be CSA members with at least five years (not necessarily consecutive) of active membership, and nominators must be active CSA members with a minimum of five years continuous membership; current Awards Committee members are ineligible for nomination and CSA executives may not submit nominations. Nominations require a completed nomination form and two supporting letters submitted by email in a standard electronic format by April 30 (unless an alternate deadline is announced), and evaluation focuses on leadership, initiative, and demonstrable impact on CSA activities (research accomplishments are not considered); a maximum of two awards may be offered in a given year and selections are final.
