Transgender Research Award

About this program

Division 44’s Committee for Transgender People and Gender Diversity offers an annual $2,000 Transgender Research Award for psychological research advancing understanding of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse people, their health and well-being, and issues affecting their communities. Eligible projects may be completed within the past three years or currently in progress, and recipients must disseminate findings to academic and directly impacted community audiences. Applicants must submit a cover page, anonymized APA-style study description of no more than seven pages, curriculum vitae, IRB approval, and—if a student—a faculty supervisor’s recommendation letter. Applications are due electronically by March 31, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time.
