About this program

The Pumpout Facility Grant Program provides resources to keep boater sewage out of California waterways by funding the construction of pumpout and dump stations on California's waterways. The program is funded through Federal Clean Vessel Act Funds and awards are provided through reimbursement(s). This award is divided into Coastal and Inland funding regions. There may be a maximum of 7 coastal pumpout awards totaling $180,000, two inland pumpout awards totaling $42,000, and one inland dump station award totaling $21,000. Applicants must provide a 25 percent cash or in-kind match. Applications are due June 30, 2027, at 11:59 PM. Expected award announcements will be made as needed, and the period of performance is one year.
