About this program
The California Department of Parks and Recreation’s Division of Boating and Waterways offers FY27 grants to support the development or improvement of public non-motorized boating access on waterways throughout California. Eligible projects may include small hand-launched boat ramps, parking areas, and restrooms, with funding provided through reimbursements from the Harbors and Watercraft Revolving Fund. Eligible applicants include local government agencies, federal agencies, and special districts; matching funds are not required. Applications are due February 1, 2027, at noon, and projects generally have a two-year award period with possible extensions.
