Division of Graduate Studies Conference Travel Award

About this program

The Division of Graduate Studies, supported by the Gary E. Smith Foundation, offers Conference Travel Awards to University of Oregon master's, doctoral, and law students to offset travel, registration, lodging and related expenses when they are selected to present research at a conference. Awards are up to $1,000 and are disbursed to the student’s UO Student Billing Account approximately 1–2 weeks after approval; awards are issued on a rolling basis and cannot be deferred. Applicants must be enrolled full-time and making satisfactory academic progress at the time of disbursement; eligibility applies regardless of immigration status or work authorization. Applicants must provide an official acceptance to present, the conference program/agenda, and receipts or invoices for eligible expenses, and are advised to consult the Financial Aid Office because the award may reduce other financial aid.
